Coastal Experiential Education, Exploration & Innovation

“A surprisingly high number of Maine students have never been on the ocean. If we want a next generation of Maine coastal marine entrepreneurs and workers we need to get them out on the water as kids… often… seeing, learning, and exploring".

CoastX does that in a meaningful way.

Some students will continue in the traditional Maine waterfront industries. Some will tailor the traditional industries into new businesses based upon the environmental and economic realities. Others will create businesses we can’t even imagine today— but will leverage technology and desire to continue a “Maine way of life.” Some will take their passion to the next level in higher education There will be many who are excited and see the benefits of working in a coastal Maine marine environment.

Merging Curiosity, The Ocean, & Entrepreneurship

  • CoastX offers direct summer programs for students to engage in         on-water learning and innovation.

  • We offer apprenticeships for waterfront/marine industries.

  • We provide entrepreneurial/start-up  coaching to any Southern Maine and Seacoast of New Hampshire individual with an ocean based idea or business.
